The transfer sum is not specified but probably the deal is around €10 millions. Shaqiri will sign a four years deal with the German giants and will have to compete with Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery for a starting place as the talented midfielder can play on both sides of the field.

The 24 years old defender has made 38 appearances for Uruguay and scored one goal. Probably this will be the last transfer for Juventus in this transfer period as the window will close at the end of this month. Caceres played 13 games for Barcelona but he was mostly of the time loaned to other teams.

The Uruguayan is very versatile as he can play as centre-back, right-back or defensive midfielder. With this move Conte hopes to solve  the defensive problems.

Of course there are a lot of players that I would have put here  if it was about their entire activity but this list is only about latest performances. #2 Cristiano Ronaldo – Ronaldo remains close to Messi mostly because of his percentage of goals. The Portuguese is still a goal machine but in my opinion he should have stay at United. Like Messi, Ronaldo needs a trophy with his country.

#3 Xavi -  Xavi is definitely the best central midfielder in the last decade of football. Many people say that Xavi makes Messi big with his passes and the only reason why Messi fails at Argentina is because they do not have “a Xavi” in the team.

#4 Wesley Sneijder – Sneijder like Xavi is one of the best central midfielders in the World. In my opinion he should have won the Golden Ball in 2010 as he won the treble with Inter and reach the World Cup final with his country.

#5 Wayne Rooney – Ronney in my opinion is the best football striker at the moment. He won a lot of trophies with Manchester United but like many football player from this list he failed with the national squad.

#6 Andres Iniesta – Iniesta is another formidable player from Barcelona a team that dominates football at the moment. The Spanish international has the advantage that he can play wherever is needed at midfield. Iniesta was on the Golden ball shortlist in the last couple of years.

#7 Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Ibrahimovic like Rooney is one of the best strikers in the World. The Swedish star has won the title every year with different clubs in the last seven years. Unfortunately he failed to win the Champions League trophy.

#8 Nemanja Vidic -  Vidic is by far the best defender in the World. Man United success in the last couple of years is largely due to him, Wayne Rooney and Ronaldo.

#9 Steven Gerrard- Gerrard in my opinion is Liverpool’s Xavi. And this can be confirmed by Torres form at Chelsea. Torres and Gerrard formed a formidable couple in Liverpool attack. Unfortunately for him Gerrard get’s injured too often recently and this affected Liverpool results.

#10 Cesc Fabregas – Fabregas is the last player on my list. His absence is deeply seen at Arsenal who failed to find a replacement for him.

In conclusion the best football players list contains 3 players from Spain, 2 from England and one from Holland, Sweden, Argentina, Portugal and Serbia.
