Galatasaray have announced that they reached an agreement with Roberto Mancini. The Italian coach has signed a three years deal with the Turkish giants. The contract value is of €4.5 a year.

Mancini will replace Fatih Terim who was sacked by the club after an altercation with the president.

Mancini was a free agent since he left Manchester City last summer. Lucescu and Hagi where the other names on the list but Mancini was the first option and more accessible.

Galatasaray have not started the season too well as they are on 10th position in Super Liga with only 7 points from 5 games and have lost their first group game in Champions League against Real Madrid.

Mancini started his coach career at Fiorentina. He also coached Lazio, Inter and Manchester City before joining Galatasaray.
