Is Shevchenko signing really worth?

This week Milan had completing the signing of Andriy Shevchenko from Chelsea. Even if the news of the arrival of one of the most succesfull player from Milan recent history was welcomed by most of the players and supporters there are some which don’t saw it like a good thing for Milan.

One of them is Shevchenko’s old team mate Alesandro Costacurta who consider that sheva’s return will influence the development of the other two strikers, Pato and Boriello.

Another one who doubts Milan’s benefit from this transfer is Shevchenko’s former coach at Chelsea Jose Mourinho who recently recognize that he never wanted Sheva at Chelsea.

Considering the good relation between Ancelotti and Shevchenko and the support that Shevchenko has from the fans it is hard to believe that the Ukranian hit-man will start from the bench.

Also many football people consider that Shevcenko’s best days have past and considering his advanced years will be very difficult for any coach to bring him to his past form.

Also it is supposed that Chelsea accepted Shevcenko‘s returning to Milan only after they received a transfer option on Milan‘s star Kaka, which is highly regard by Scolari and Roman Abramovich.

Now it remains to see how Ancelotti deals with the situation and how will he manage to keep every striker happy.

If you treat him like royalty then he will be OK. Mourinho was too tough on the poor little lamb. Best days are certainly behind him but he has something to prove now so may well surprise you…

Either way Chelsea and Roman owe you a favour!
