Will Ranieri bring Roma back on top?
Spalletti resigned as Roma coach after only two Serie A games.
Spalletti who was in charge for four years at Olimpico declared that he felt he lost his players confidence and that it was the right decision for him and also for the club. Besides the two defeats there was another big reason why he left the club.
Spalletti has been asking for a world class striker in the past years but the management failed to bring one.
With Spalletti, Roma have put some excellent performances in Champions League with two Quarter Final appearances and not to mention the memorable victories against Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid or Chelsea. The best performances in Italy were two years ago when they played Coppa Italia Final and lost the scudetto race in the end to Inter.
Roma have appointed Claudio Ranieri as manager. Ranieri is confident that he will manage to continue the good results and declared that this job is a “dream come true” for him. Indeed Ranieri is a Romanista but even so some of the fans are sceptically about him.
