The only team that can put them into trouble at the moment are Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone has managed to build a very strong and united group at Vicente Calderon. There are not too many star players in the team but they still manage to be among the best teams in Europe.

Even if they are 8 points behind leaders Barcelona they remain in the title race. Fernando Torres was one of the key players in the last couple of games. Torres scored 3 very important goals in the last 5 games.

The Spanish striker, who is a product of Atletico Madrid academy was brought to Premier League in 2007. The British stile fit perfectly for him and he became shortly one of the best player in Europe. He was named in Fifa World XI two times, in 2008 and 2009. After almost four seasons Torres left Liverpool for rivals Chelsea for a British record transfer fee of £50 million, which made him the most expensive Spanish player in history. He failed to adapt to Chelsea style and after three and a half seasons spent at Chalsea Torres tried a new challenge and move to AC Milan in 2014. After another disappointing half of the season the only option was a return to Atletico.

After a less successful first season it seems that the striker slowly returns to form that put him on the list with the best players in the World.

Will Higuain leave Napoli?

Gonzalo Higuain is one of the most in form strikers at the moment and at the same time one of the most wanted players.

Premier League betting odds explained that Arsenal, Chelsea or PSG are among the possible destinations for the 28 years old star.

Arsenal were interested in signing Higuain also in 2013 but the Argentine forward chose Napoli in the end.

On the other hand PSG would need a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic who’s contract expires at the end of the season. Ibrahimovic will probably leave the French capital this summer. The Swedish star is still a first team regular but latest injuries may suggest that he is not the player that used to be.

The rumors from Serie A suggest that Higuain will not sign a new deal with Napoli. The striker was recently called out by Napoli president for being overweight and the Argentine has not taken lightly. On the other hand the player’s agent, Nicolas Higuain, stated that the he will not leave this summer. The current contract expires in 2018.

Pipita joined Napoli from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 for €40 millions. Even if he won Coppa Italia in the first season Higuain had ups and downs during the first two seasons in Serie A. This season is definitely his best in Serie and not only. The Argentine forward is currently the Serie A top goalscorer, with 25 goals in 27 games.

Napoli are currently second in Serie A standing, 3 points behind Juventus. For the first time in the last couple of years Napoli have real chances of winning the Serie A title. Napoli have won the title only two times in 1986 -1987 and 1989-1990 seasons spurred on by their talismatic captain Diego Maradona.

Gonzalo Higuain declared himself delighted with how thins are going this season. He mentioned that one of the reasons for his good form is the relation with coach Maurizio Sarri.

What’s going on in London?!

One of the biggest clubs in the EPL- Arsenal, has signed three sponsorship deals with bookmakers for the current 2015/16, but some of the companies will definitely remain club’s partners in the following two years. Betfair became the club’s official European betting partner, with the exception of the UK, Italy, Ireland and Russia, because Arsenal has a valid contract with Paddy Power for those five countries. Sponsorship Deals in the Footballing North-West

Liverpool and Manchester United may be the most fierce rivals in English football but that didn’t stop them from signing a sponsorship deal with the same company- Marathonbet. The company was determined to increase its presence on the UK market and agreements with two of the few most popular clubs in the country is definitely the way to do it. United’s rivals, City landed a deal with Betsafe in 2015, it was announced in October. The details of the deal weren’t published, but the company will have the right to offer special deals to Man City fans and will be the only company allowed to offer real-life betting at their Stadium. The deal is a long-term deal, but the exact period wasn’t disclosed. Liverpool’s rivals on the other hand, Everton, concluded a two year sponsorship deal with Coral in 2014.

Other Sponsorship Deals

When it comes to the other Premier League clubs, they have been pretty active in concluding sponsorship deals with bookmakers as well. West Brom signed two sponsorship deals in 2015, one with NETBET and another with TLCBet. Newcastle are the second club which has a deal with Coral and Norwich are the third.
