Will Simeone take Inter this season?

0

Diego Simeone declared recently that he will be the Inter coach at a time. This came as a result to the latest rumors from Italy press that Massimo Moratti already contacted Simeone to replace Andrea Stramaccioni.

Inter had  three consecutive games in which they failed to win, two draws with Roma and Torino and than a lost against Siena which destroyed their chances for Serie A. Even worse they could miss Champions League as they are currently fourth in the standing, one point behind 3rd place occupied by Lazio wich would give them a chance of playing in Champions League.

Inter won the last night game against CFR Cluj 2-0 and they have good chances of qualifying to the next round. If that would not happen then Moratti will probably sack Stramaccioni.

The Italian coach took charge at Inter approximately one year ago in a disastrous period for Inter and helped the club to finish on six at the end of the season. Stramaccioni is one of the youngster managers in Europe.

Simeone pleyed at Inter between 1997 and 2001 and won the Europa league in his first season. Last year he won it also as a coach with his current team Atletico Madrid.

Andre Santos came at Arsenal in 2011 from Fenerbahce. Since then he made 36 appearances for “The Gunners” and scored 4 goals.

This season was not too good for the Brazilian left back as he picked up a lot of criticism from the English media. One of those games when he got criticized was against Manchester City, one of Arsenal biggest rivals. His last game in Premier League was against Liverpool a game that ended with a draw 2-2.

It looks like Arsene Wenger lost his faith on him. Even if Gibbs and Vermaelen, the players that can play in his position, are both injured he was loaned to Brazilian club. In his place was brought Nacho Monreal from Malaga .

The 29 years old Brazilian declared that he is pleased with the move and he expects to play more for Gremio. Also he declared that he wants to be a champion with Gremio at the end of the season.

Sports betting on the rise

0

Latest reports from the sports betting and online casino industry conclude that sports’ betting is on the rise. Here we will look at some of major trends that are affecting sports betting revenues.
Mobile sports betting is having a significant impact on the market and is changing the whole demographic of sports bettors by bringing in a much younger group of participants. The ability to make bets at any time, in any place and to stay current with up to the minute information is a big attraction.

In play betting is another expanding area and new technology has improved user experience considerably. It is particularly applicable to specific sports, but there have been occasions in recent times where it has gained a tarnished reputation because of corruption. However it seems to have recovered from that and is trending upwards.

Both the Olympics and Euro 2012 have had a large positive effect on the market even though all the bets on who would light the cauldron at the opening ceremony were refunded. However, while betting on Olympic sports generated significant revenues, there was also a negative effect on other forms of sports betting with some operators reporting an overall dip in revenues.

Sports betting is increasingly being seen as an alternative to speculating on the stock exchange. Many of today’s sports betters are highly sophisticated and are finding that they can make more money from that than they can from more conventional investments.

Horse racing is one area of sports betting that is currently in decline. It seems that the principal problem is the inability to attract young people to the horse racing scene. British Horse racing has made several attempts to do so, but have fallen at every hurdle. It seems that horse racing simply does not appeal to the younger generation, and the reason is that probably there are just too many alternatives on offer.

Last year saw sports betting revenues rise to £800 million, and it seems that the rising trend is set to continue for the foreseeable future.
