Did Juventus found the right formation?

Until the ‘Calciopoli’ scandal Juventus were one of the fieriest forces in Serie A and Champions League but since then they never been at that level.

Even if they spent only one year in Serie B most of the players left the club. Juventus invested a lot of money in new players but for some reasons the club finished in mediocre positions every year. They failed to qualify for Champions League since and when they played in Europa League they were under expectations.

This seasons the things look more promising as they top the Serie A standings after nine games. More than that Juventus manage to beat Inter at San Siro, who are in a desperate situation now, and there is a bright future showing up.

The most important acquisitions for Juventus are Matri, Vucinic and Pirlo. They were the key players since the start of the season.

Will Torres leave Chelsea for Malaga?

Malaga is one of the richest football teams in the world and after Chelsea and Manchester City model they have started to invest a lot of moneys in bringing the best players in.

Toulalan, Nistelrooy,Demichelis, Cazorla are only a few names that reach at Malaga last summer.

There are rumors that Malaga have set their target on Chelsea’s stiker Fernando Torres who is having a decline of form after leaving Liverpool last winter.

Torres is the biggest transfer made between two English teams after Chelsea paid no more than €60 millions to lure him away from Anfield.

The Spanish international was supposed to bring more attacking power for Chelsea but he failed to impress. He scored only one goal last season and has only 5 goals in 27 games for the Premier League side.

The money would not a problem for Malaga but missing the European competitions could be decisive for factor for Torres who left Liverpool only for playing in Champions League and for having the chance of wining titles.

 

Will Del Piero retire at the end of the season?

Alessandro Del Piero is one of the Italian football legends whose career is about to end.

The 36 years old striker came at Juventus in 1993 from Padova and since then he was one of the team leaders. He played over 500 games for Juventus and scored 205 goals.

Del Piero who will be 37 years old next month, has to make a tough decision at the end of the season. His current contract is going to expire at the end of the season and Juventus board already announced that they are not going to offer him a new deal.

This decision was already contested by the fans who love to see their favorite into action. Also former Juventus director  Luciano Moggi declared that he is surprised by the Juventus decision.

Moggi things that this was bad decision from the Juventus board and that teh should have wait until spring to announce the decision in order to not demotivate the player.

On the other hand this could be a strategy by the club to force the supporters to buy more tickets to see their favorite for the last year.

Del Piero has won almost everything as a player with the club and with the national team.

Milan are interested in Botafogo’s Ferreira

Latest reports from Serie A suggest that Botafogo central defender Fabio Ferreira has attracted the interest of Milan, Napoli and Palermo.

Ferreira is having a great season with Botafogo and Milan could sign him to solve the defensive problems. With Nesta, who gets injured often, and Mexes still not fully recovered Ferreira could make partnership with Thiago Silva in the center of the defence.

A move could be done in January when the transfer market is open.

Milan scouts are familiar with teh Brazilian football as they discover the best Brazilian products. Kaka, Pato Thiago Silva are only a few names that were discovered by Milan scouting department.

The 26 years old defender played for Corinthians, Gremio, Vitoria, Noroeste and Juventude before moving to Botafogo in 2010.

Since then he made 26 appearances and scored 1 goal for his team.

Will Corinthians sign Tevez after all?

Corinthians were interested in signing Carlo Tevez from Manchester City this summer after the Argentinean international declared that he is unhappy with the life in England and wants to return home.

The asking price was too high for Corinthians and the transfer was not done. Now after the scandal from Champions League game against Bayern Munchen, when Tevez refused to came from the bench, Manchester City are more open to negotiations and will probably lower their demands. Tevez was valued by his club at around £45 millions.

Real Madrid, Inter and Juventus were the other clubs interested in signing the 27 years old forward.

One thing is sure, Tevez will not play for City any more. More than that the player is suspended by the club and there is the possibility to pay damages to the club.

Tevez played for Boca Juniors, Corinthians, West Ham and Manchester United before moving to City.

For Argentina he played in 59 games and scored 13 goals.
