Inter are interested in signing Willian

0

Willian was the subject of a transfer all last summer but the Brazilian star remain at Shakhtar Donetsk. Chelsea were the most interested in buying the attacking midfielder but the price was considered too big. Eden Hazard and Oscar arrived at Chelsea and they probably gave up on Willian.

Anyway another potential destination for the 24 years old Brazilian could be Inter. Inter could sell Sneijder, who is far from the form he was in 2010 and in that case Willian would be a good replacement.

Even so Inter have a lot of players that can play in that position. Cassano, Coutinho, Alvarez or Palacio, all of them can play behind the strikers.

Willian’s contract with Shakhtar runs until 2014 and the club are not willing to let him go for anything less than his release clause which is around €35 millions.

Will Chamakh leave Arsenal?

Marouane Chamakh came at Arsenal on a free in 2010 and had a good start at his new team. It looks like Podolski and Giroud  are preferred by Arsene Wenger in Arsenal’s attack.

The Morroco international lost his place in the team lately but is confident that he can regain it. Now after Van Persie’s leaving the club for Manchester United, Chamakh is confident that he will play more regularly.

The 29 years old striker declared that he will wait for his chance but if the situation is not going to change in the next 3-4 months then he will leave the club. His priority is to remain in Premier League but he doesn’t rule a return to Bordeaux either.

Australian Premier League players: Harry Kewell

0

Alongside the strong promotion of the league – both through live television coverage and the availability of promotional activities at online casino sites and other places, one of the factors which greatly contributes to the enormous public enthusiasm for the English Premiership in other countries is the fact that so many players from different countries play in the league. After all, there can be little doubt that football fans, say, in Australia would want to keep track of the career progress of their favourite Socceroos stars – more and more of whom are opting to try their luck in English football. One of the Australian stars from the last decade to make a big impression on football in the UK is Harry Kewell.

The Australian midfielder played for two big English clubs during his time in UK football: Leeds and Liverpool, but arguably his most striking period as a player came during his time with the former. He had an eight-year career with Leeds United, running from 1995 to 2003, and was a major part of the team that reached such heights at the turn of the century – including making it to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 1999/00 season; although unfortunately for Kewell, he was ordered off during this tie, which contributed to Leeds’ eventual defeat to Galatasaray. The side would go on to reach even greater heights when they made it to the semis of the Champions League the following season, and the Australian again played a major role in this.

He moved to Liverpool in 2003, in controversial fashion, with Leeds United collapsing under the weight of excessive debts, and his time on Merseyside rarely reached the same heights. Kewell began to be more affected by injury and inconsistency, although he was selected for the Champions League final in 2004 – only to be substituted early in the game due to injury. His career for the Australian national team – which began at the age of 17, making him their youngest ever debutant –has been an impressive one, yielding 17 goals in 56 appearances.
Kewell has kept online casino sites on their toes throughout his carrier, like many footballers before him. One online casino even has a football slots game called Game on! which can be found in http://www.luckynuggetcasino.com/au/online-pokies/. In the game the reels have nostalgic football themes on them and you get to play the game with good old fashioned trading cards. Ending up in an online casino game is a great achievement for any footballer, and no doubt Kewell has a similar future.

A Certain Bet: Football in the UK becomes more expensive

0

A new study by the BBC has revealed that football fans have to spend more than ever to enjoy the beautiful game in the UK. The study aimed to understand not only the cost for admission to a game, but also other costs such as food and drink.

The average cost of the most affordable adult ticket to a game within the top four divisions rose to £21.24, reflecting an 11.7% YoY increase. The club that frequently appears as the most expensive is Arsenal. The club had not only the most expensive matchday ticket, at £126 but also the most expensive season ticket at £1,955.

Should one not fancy watching the highest top-flight football, there are alternatives that will save you some money. £6 will get you allow you to watch the delights of Montrose, while 50p will even get you a cup of tea at Alloa and Brechin.

It’s not just on matchday tickets and tea which the UK spends most money on football. Football remains the UK’s favourite to sport to bet on, and in 2010 fans bet an incredible £1.03bn on the game. With the study findings, it’s natural that punters will look for better value with betting offers when gambling on football in 2013.

It will be interesting to see the results of the study going forward into 2013/2014. The amount of money being poured into top clubs from TV rights is set to significantly increase. Whether or not this additional money will lower dependencies on fan’s matchday tickets, time will will reveal.
