Antonio Cassano suffered a cerebral injury

Gattuso suffered an eye injury that will keep him out of the field for the rest of the season another similar problem appeared.

After the Roma match Antonio Cassano suffered a cerebral damage. At the beginning the doctors were fearful over his condition but now it seems that the problem can be solved with a surgery. Cassano will undergo a cardiology surgery and is estimated that he will recover in a few months.

The 29 years old forward was in great shape with Milan and his absence will be definitely missed.

Even if he doesn’t score that much, because of his retreat position, Cassano is one of the most gifted Italian players.Creativity and the ball control are his strengths.

The Italian international started his career at Bari. He moved to Roma where he played a few seasons before moving to Real Madrid. he failed to impose there and returned to Serie A at Sampdoria. Last year he arrived at Milan where he won the title.

For Italy Cassano played in 28 games and scored 9 goals.

Jovetic signs contract extension

Steven Jovetic has finally ended the speculations regarding his future after signing a new contract with Fiorentina.

The new deal will end in 2016.

Jovetic attracted the interest of some of the top teams before getting injured. The knee injury he suffered last year  kept him away from the field for almost all season.

Fiorentina missed Jovetic a lot and now after Mutu left the club he is the main attraction. The fans and the staff are all please with Jovetic return and consider him as a new signing.

Now it is important to play regularly and the success will definitely come.

Jovetic came at Fiorentina in 2008 from Partizan the club where he made the senior debut.

The Montenegrin attacker has 17 goals in 66 games for Fiorentina. For the national team he scored 7 goalsin 17 games.

Who will win the Ballon d’Or for 2011?

As in every year Fifa announced the last 23 players list for the Ballon d’Or trophy which will be awarded next year in January. As last year among the favorites are Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Unibet Romania sees Messi as the main favorite followed closely by Ronaldo.

The last three names that will battle for the trophy will be announced in December. Messi, Xavi and Iniesta are the three player from last year.

As it was expected Spain leads the list with  seven players followed by Germany with three players. Countries like Argentina, Brazil, France,Portugal or Uruguay have two candidates. Samuel Eto’o is the only African player from the list.

This seasons the things look more promising as they top the Serie A standings after nine games. More than that Juventus manage to beat Inter at San Siro, who are in a desperate situation now, and there is a bright future showing up.

The most important acquisitions for Juventus are Matri, Vucinic and Pirlo. They were the key players since the start of the season.
