No! We are not talking about Man United’s star Owen Hargreaves, but England international striker Michael Owen.

The former Real Madrid and Liverpool hit-man is facing a bad time with Newcastle United after being knocked out from the FA Cup by Hull City.

Although Newcastle United have offered Owen an improved three-year contract extension. It seems Michael was not happy. Current crisis with Newcastle United can bring back the attention from other English clubs like Tottenham and our team Man United to move Owen away from St. James’ Park.

Sir Alex Ferguson has showed some interest to sign Owen as an alternative during summer transfer window. However at the end of the transfer window United could sign their top target Berbatov.

If Owen moves to Manchester United, it would be shocking move. United fans have not experienced such a situation, to welcome a former Liverpool player, since long time. But I believe that such a move would be great for United. First United can increase their goals-sheet with an extra 15 goals and fans would see again Owen-Rooney partnership.

Everyone remembers that when we won the famous treble in 1999, United had 5 strikers (Cole, Yorke, Sheringham, Solskjaer and Cruyff). So I believe Owen addition will give Sir Alex’s squad an extra boost as the team is going to play extra games this season, in FIFA world Club Cup and he will give Fergie more options in the front line.

The last decision will come from Owen himself if he can see himself wearing Man United shirt and from Sir Alex.

As a United fan, will you welcome Michael Owen move?

Will Manchester United sign Tevez permanently?

Sir Alex Ferguson said at the beginning of the season that he is very pleased with Tevez and that Manchester United will make soon an offer to buy him definitely.

But it seems that Manchester still have not made any serious offer and Tevez future is in doubt.

Tevez, who played also for Boca Juniors, Corinthians and Westham United, is currently on loan at Manchester and the deal will expire this summer. Manchester United have the first option but if the negotiations will fail Tevez would consider also other options.

Manchester would have to pay another € 25 million to ensure his services. There are reports that the transfer fee would not be a problem  but the player requirements. Tevez wants a five years contract with wages around £100000 per week, more that he currently has.

Tevez declared that he would like to continue with the Red Devils but he would also say yes to other club that would meet his demands.

If nothing materialized then Tevez might go at Manchester City, the arch rivals, where Mark Hughes wants him very much.

Real Madrid and also Inter Milano are also interested in signing him, but probably he would prefer to remain in Premier League where he declared that he feels very well.

Tottenham wants Keane back

Rafa Benitez said at the beginning of the season that Keane and Torres will make an ideal couple in attack but now it looks that he changed his mind and does not want to give Keane any other chances in the starting line-up.

Also Benitez wouldn’t say no to a transfer if the sum offered on Keane would be the correct one.

Harry Redknapp is not satisfied with his current attackers(Bent, Campbell and Pavlyuchenko). There are reports that Redknapp wants Keane back at Tottenham to partner Defoe in attack, the couple of attackers of the past two seasons.

Tottenham already made an offer of around €15 million plus Jenas or Lennon.

Keane has said many times that he wants to stay to prove his worth but Benitez could be tempted to let the player leave in order to raise funds for transfers.

In this case Keane could return to Tottenham where he would have the chance to play more.

Diego wanted at Manchester City

Diego was the subject of a transfer move last summer, with Juventus and Real Madrid interested in signing him.

The transfer was not materialized because of the high price demanded by Werder Bremen. There are reports that Manchester City are also interested in signing him, and have prepared an offer of € 27 million and a salary of € 190000 per week  for Diego.

Although they were confident at the beginning of the season, Manchester City are on a disappointing 11th place at only 4 points from the relegation places. Mark Hughes is not satisfied with the evolution of current players and wants to strengthen his team.

After he transfered De Jong from Hamburg now he wants to buy Diego to strengthen the attack and also to shut Robinho mouth who said that wants more Brazilians.

Robinho was very disappointed after Kaka deal dropped and left the team training camp from Tenerife.

Diego would be tempted to accept Manchester City offer because he would meet his good friend Robinho with wich he was playing some years ago at Santos.
